BCACC 2000

MMR members played Santa Claus at the Brooklyn CACC, arriving in a sleigh full of treats and toys. O.K., so it was a VW Jetta that was packed to the roof with bags and boxes, thanks to the generous contributions of Kathleen, Tricia, Tami, Lynn and so many others. Several of our group members were there to hand out a toy and a treat to every animal in the shelter -- Rebecca, Joyia, Abby, Beth, Kelly, Kathleen, Tricia and Joan -- with plenty left over for after the holidays. Plus we took lots of photos for the shelter's PetFinder list. We gave a copy of the card shown above as a "Thank You" to all staff members of the Brooklyn CACC for being such caring guardians of animals abandoned in this city.

This is great holiday tradition for our group. Although we "specialize" in Maltese as the breed we know best, we love all animals and value the work of the CACC.

Beth with Happy
Here's our Beth with Happy. Beth counseled a family about what kind of dog might be best for them. Because of Beth, Happy will be home for Christmas!

Rebecca
Rebecca's joy for all canine and feline friends
was an inspiration to us all!

Abby
Abby kept us organized...
well, she really tried to, anyway

Kathleen
Kathleen loved this special
boy and named him "Joshua".

Rebecca and Joyia
Rebecca and Joyia couldn't leave empty-handed.
They are holding the newest members of their family, Marcus and Garvey.
